Prices are based on double occupancy; all other room configurations are on request and cannot be guaranteed. We will accommodate triples/quads whenever possible. Please call for further details.

This tour is designed for groups traveling with children between the ages of 7 and 17. Your group must include a child in order to book, and anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Please note that if you are travelling to Morocco between November and February, your tour will have a level of flexibility based off of winter weather conditions on roads in the mountains. Heavy snow is not uncommon, so plan on packing warmer clothing to suit conditions.

Day 1Marrakech

Arrive in time to meet your fellow travelers for a welcome gathering this evening. Your arrival transfer is included.

Arrival Day and Welcome Meeting

The adventure begins tonight. Feel free to explore before your welcome meeting, but make sure you’re back in time to meet the group. Check for the meeting time on the welcome note at the hotel. After introductions, your CEO will review the details of your tour. Please note that normal check-in times apply at our start hotels, but you can usually store your luggage for the day if you arrive early.

Day 2Marrakech/Ouarzazate

Travel with the group through the red sloped and green terraced valleys of the High Atlas Mountains. Indulge in a picnic lunch by the river before arriving in Ouarzazate. Learn about the magic behind the camera at a film studio and gain insight into how they make these desert landscapes come alive on the big screen.

Discover the sets of blockbusters from years past at Atlas Film Studios, the largest film studio in the world. Get behind-the-scenes access to the sets and props used in the making of films like Raiders of the Lost Arc and Gladiator (2000), as well as TV show Game of Thrones. Wander past jetplanes, through a colosseum, and into a tomb as your guide reveals the scenes that they were used in and how they were built.

Day 3Ouarzazate/Merzouga

It’s onward to the desert town of Merzouga today where you’ll be staying at a hotel near Erg Chebbi. Watch the sun set behind the dunes and enjoy a traditional Amazigh dinner before partaking in some prime stargazing beneath the desert night sky.

Day 4Merzouga

Ride across the dunes in a 4x4 to check out fossils left behind, then find yourself mesmerized by Gnaoua musicians in a local village. Take advantage of some free time to take a dip in the pool or opt for a camel ride across the desert sands. After working up an appetite feast on a delicious Amazigh dinner before sitting around a warm bonfire for a storytelling experience.

Enjoy some free time this afternoon to explore the area or relax at your hotel. Opt for a camel ride through the dunes.

Sahara Dunes & Culture Excursion
Merzouga

View the golden dunes of the Sahara desert on a 4x4 excursion. Drive around the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi and take in the view of the endless sea of sand. Watch the dunes as the colours creep across the landscape and look out for the kohl mine en route to the village of Khamlia. Here you will meet Gnaoua musicians and learn about the history of Gnaoua music in the Sahara. Enjoy a performance by these talented artists. Depart back through the desert region and visit local Amazigh living in the area, learning about their way of life and sharing in some mint tea in one of the homes.

Camel Ride
Merzouga

Hold on and enjoy a ride on this even-toed ungulate, also known as the desert horse. Bring your camera for some fantastic photos of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Local guides will teach you how to mount and dismount and other handy camel-related safety tips.

Day 5Merzouga/Dades Gorge

Dades Gorge is on the list for today. You’ll be able to see the grand scenery carved by the Dades River and stop at a local village for lunch and a special treat. From there embark on a guided walk through the gorge’s landscape learning about it’s many unique features. At night chill out at the hotel with some free time.

Dades Gorge Guided Walk

Day 6Dades Gorge/Aït Ben Haddou

Onward to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Aït Ben Haddou today for some wandering amid winding alleys and clay houses behind fortified walls. Let your taste buds rejoice during a hands-on tagine cooking demonstration in which you get to eat your creations for dinner.

Your Foodie Moment: Tagine Cooking Class

Learn all about the quintessential Moroccan dish — tagine. Start with an introduction to the tagine itself (a clay pot) and the different ingredients and spices used. Get hands on with the ingredients and then tantalize your taste buds by indulging in your delicious creations for dinner.

Aït Ben Haddou Kasbah Tour

Explore the UNESCO World Heritage site and kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou, the most famous ksar in the Ounila Valley, located in the foothills of the southern slopes of the High Atlas Mountains. Of all the remaining kasbahs in Morocco, the walls and interior of this area are the most intact. It's a collective grouping of dwellings inside defensive walls and was once one of the many trading posts on the route linking Sudan to Marrakech. The kasbah still houses a few families, but many now live in the adjacent village. Like many of the earthen built fortresses in Ouarzazate, Aït Ben Haddou has been used in many film and television productions like Gladiator, Babel, and Game of Thrones.

Day 7Aït Ben Haddou/Marrakech

Travel to Marrakech, known for its many buildings erected from red clay and rest up at your hotel. Then, visit a local henna shop where you’ll have your hands painted with this temporary tattoo art. Visit the vibrant Djemaa el Fna marketplace in the main square of Marrakech before taking advantage of free time to become better acquainted with the city.

Day 8Marrakech

Hear the call to prayer across the city and enjoy breakfast in your hotel. Embark on a guided walk of the labyrinthine streets of the medina and check out the shops filled with spices, rugs, and so much more. See more or Marrakech on your own doing all of the things you didn’t have time for yesterday and in the evening come together for a farewell dinner in a riad and reminisce about your trip.

Head into the maze of tiny streets and alleyways of the ancient medina to really get a taste of everyday life in Marrakech. Shop to your heart’s content in the souk and search out spices, traditional jalabas and slippers, or the famous Moroccan lanterns. Visit the Saadian Tombs - a complex of sepulchers and mausoleums that house the remains of Saadian Sultan Ahmed Al Mansour Ed Dahb. The tombs were sealed off until their re-discovery in 1917. Tour the grounds of the Bahia Palace, marvelling at the intricate decoration, and experience the sights and sounds of the bustling Jemaa el-Fnaa square.

Visit a hammam, a great way to get squeaky clean and soothe sore muscles. Enjoy a body scrub and massage in a traditional Moroccan bathhouse. Begin with a dry or hot room to prepare your skin and body, followed by a hot steam room. Then enjoy a body scrub and massage followed by a traditional mint tea.

Marrakech Medina Walk and Spice Shop
Marrakech

Let a local guide show you the best of Marrekech. Head into the maze of tiny streets and alleyways of the ancient medina to really get a taste of everyday life in Marrakech. See the Koutoubia Minaret and head to a spice shop to discover an array of Moroccan spices.

Jardins Majorelle
