Arrive at any time.
Day 2Beijing
Visit the Great Wall of China at Mutianyu.
Day 3Beijing/Xi'an
Walk the legendary grounds of Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City before an overnight train to Xi'an.
Day 4Xi'an
Arrive in Xi'an and take an orientation walk of the city before using free time to explore.
Day 5Xi'an
Enjoy an included visit to one of China’s greatest archaeological treasures — the Terracotta Warriors.
Day 6Xi'an/Emei Shan
Enjoy free time to explore. Later, board an overnight train to Emei Shan.
Day 7Emei Shan
Arrive in Emei Shan, one of the four sacred Buddhist mountains of China, and stay in a basic monastery.

Visit the Panda Breeding Centre for an up-close experience with these gentle giants. In the afternoon, fly to Lijiang, a World Heritage-listed town. Enjoy an orientation walk.

Enjoy a free day to explore Lijiang.
Day 12Lijiang/Hetaoyuan
Trek Tiger Leaping Gorge, a spectacular trail following the Yangtze River that cuts through the dramatic gorge.
Day 13Hetaoyuan/Lijiang
Continue the hike through Tiger Leaping Gorge. Typically, return to Lijiang at the end of the second day's trek.
Day 14Lijiang/Dali
Explore this ancient walled town on an orientation walk. Choose to visit the stunning 'Three Pagodas' or one of the local markets.
Day 15Dali
Enjoy a free day to explore markets, scenery, and temples.
Day 16Dali/Kunming
Travel by bus to Kunming and explore the Green Lake and local markets on an included city tour.
Day 17Kunming/Yangshuo
Spend the morning in Kunming before a flight to Guilin and bus to Yangshuo. Enjoy the next three days exploring the beautiful countryside around the Li River.
Day 18Yangshuo
Relax on an included Li River cruise passing through a seemingly endless range of stunning karst mountains. Enjoy lunch at a local farmer's house.
