The National Geographic × G Adventures partnership is a long-standing collaboration that combines small-group, purpose-driven travel with world-class exploration, science, and storytelling. Together, we create immersive journeys that support local communities, conservation, and a deeper understanding of the world.
G Adventures and National Geographic have been working together for more than a decade, united by a shared belief that travel should educate, inspire, and leave a positive impact on the places and people we visit.
Because we share the same mission. National Geographic brings a global legacy of exploration, research, and storytelling through the National Geographic Society. G Adventures brings decades of experience in community-focused, responsible travel through our G for Good approach. Together, we design travel that goes deeper — for both travellers and for the world as a whole.
G Adventures designs and operates the trips, guided by our G for Good commitment to responsible tourism, community partnerships, and local benefit. National Geographic contributes expert knowledge, storytelling, and access through the National Geographic Society, a global nonprofit that funds science, conservation, and education worldwide.
All National Geographic trips are built on the same values, but each travel style offers a different experience: • Signature: Luxury adventure travel with five-star comfort, exclusive access, Signature Moments, concierge support, and National Geographic Experts. Best for travellers who want elevated comfort with purpose. • Journeys: Deep cultural immersion, hands-on exploration, and storytelling-led experiences. Ideal for curious travellers who want meaningful connections and context. • Family Journeys: Designed for families with children aged 7+, combining adventure, learning, and downtime so every generation stays engaged. In other words, each category of trip offers the same purpose — just via different ways of exploration.
Trips are led by experienced G Adventures Chief Experience Officers (CEOs), with many departures also featuring National Geographic Experts such as scientists, photographers, archaeologists, and conservationists. On our brand-new Signature trips, you’ll also travel with a dedicated National Geographic Expedition Leader from start to finish who’ll guide you throughout the trip.
National Geographic trips with G Adventures span Europe, Africa, Asia, the Americas, and beyond, with destinations including Peru, Iceland, Tanzania, Morocco, France, Greece, Nepal, Palau and more. Each itinerary is designed around expert insight, local access, and responsible travel.
These journeys are ideal for travellers who want more than sightseeing — whether that means deeper cultural understanding, expert storytelling, meaningful family travel, or elevated comfort with impact. If you value learning, connection, and responsible travel, then these trips are built for you!
Yes — both. Whether it’s your first international adventure or you’re a seasoned explorer, each itinerary clearly outlines activity levels, pacing, and expectations so you can choose a journey that matches your comfort level and travel style.
Fitness levels vary by itinerary, but trips are thoughtfully paced and designed for immersive exploration rather than endurance. Activity levels are clearly listed for each trip, making it easy to choose one that suits your abilities and sense of adventure.
Accommodation varies by trip style, but comfort, character, and location are always a priority: • Signature trips feature luxury hotels, lodges, and standout properties. • Journeys use high-quality, well-located hotels with local character. • Family Journeys focus on comfortable, family-friendly accommodation. Full accommodation details are listed on each itinerary page.
Groups are intentionally kept small to allow for better access and deeper connection: • Signature: usually 22 travellers or fewer. • Journeys & Family Journeys: typically 16 travellers or fewer.
