Starting in Beijing, you’ll stop in at the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven and the Great Wall before departing to Xi’an for a summit with the Terracotta Warriors. Later, enjoy three days in the rugged beauty of rural Yangshuo before winding it all up in bustling Hong Kong. In China, the future – and the past – is now.

This trip is designed for parents and children to enjoy together. You will be travelling as part of a group of families with other children. The itinerary has been designed with the needs of the whole family in mind. We have given this trip a minimum age for this trip to allow you to be sure that you have the right trip for you and your family. Minimum age of 6 years for this trip. Please see the activities for any specific minimum age requirements.


Day 1Beijing(1B, 1D)

Arrive at any time. Enjoy a Peking duck dinner with the group.

Day 2Beijing(1B, 1L)

Included visits to Forbidden City, hutong tour, Great Wall, and Temple of Heaven. Overnight train to Xi'an on Day 4.

Day 3Beijing(1B)

Set out early for the Great Wall at Mutianyu. Spend the day wandering from tower to tower along this magnificent feat of construction. Possibly bring a picnic lunch and eat it atop the wall.

Day 4Beijing/Xi’an(1B)

After a free morning in Beijing, board a comfortable overnight sleeper that arrives into Xi'an early the following morning.

Day 5Xi’an(1B, 1L)

Cycle the city walls and visit the Muslim Quarter.

Day 6Xi’an(1B, 1L)

Visit the famous Terracotta Warriors.

Day 7Xi’an/Chengdu(1B, 1L)

After a free morning in Xi'an, fly to Chengdu on the evening of Day 6. Visit the panda breeding centre and the ancient town of Huanglongxi. Enjoy a dinner of Sichuan hotpot.

Day 8Chengdu(1B, 1L, 1D)

Watch the noble giant panda at the Giant Panda Breeding Center and check out the historic town of Huanglongxi.

Day 9Chengdu/Yangshuo(1B)

Enjoy a free morning to explore Chengdu. Fly to Guilin and transfer to Yangshuo

Day 10Yangshuo(1B)

Enjoy an included Li River cruise and free time for a variety of activities in Yangshuo.

Day 11Yangshuo(1B)

Enjoy a free day to explore Yangshuo and the surrounding area. There are plenty of activities available for all the family here.

Day 12Yangshuo/Hong Kong(1B)

After a free morning in Yangshuo, transfer to Guilin and catch the train to Hong Kong.

Day 13Hong Kong(1B)

Transfer to Hong Kong. Enjoy an orientation walk of the city, take the Star Ferry across to visit Victoria Peak, and check out the evening lightshow in Kowloon.

Day 14Hong Kong(1B)

Depart at any time.
