Victoria Falls River Rafting

Take the opportunity to go whitewater rafting on the Zambezi River while Victoria Falls roars above. Depart in the morning and head to the river, spend the morning navigating through the canyon that forms the famous falls. Enjoy a riverside lunch before heading back onto the water. This adrenaline filled day will be one to remember.

Victoria Falls Helicopter Ride

You don't want to miss the opportunity to see Victoria Falls from above. Watch the raging Zambezi River make its way toward the gorge, forming the largest waterfall in the world. During your 15 minute ride, you will have time to take in the incredible views while snapping as many pictures as you like. You may be lucky enough to see some giraffes and elephants in the surrounding landscape and even catch a rainbow over the falls.

Itinerary

Day 1Cape Town

Arrive at any time. Arrival transfer included.

Day 2Cape Town(1B)

Explore vibrant Cape Town with a local guide, including a visit to the Castle of Good Hope. Continue on to Cape Point and visit the penguins at Boulders Beach.

Day 3Cape Town(1B)

Enjoy a full day at leisure and choose from a variety of optional activities.

Day 4Cape Town/Johannesburg(1B, 1D)

Fly to Johannesburg to meet your CEO and enjoy a traditional South African Braai (barbecue) dinner.

Day 5Johannesburg/Graskop(1B)

Enjoy a scenic drive along the famed Panorama Route with stops at Blyde River Canyon, Bourke's Luck Potholes, and God's Window.

Day 6Graskop/Kruger National Park(1B, 1D)

After breakfast, continue to our lodge-camp, overlooking the beautiful Sabie River Valley and conveniently located outside the park gates. In the afternoon, embark on a game drive inside Kruger National Park in an open safari vehicle, taking in views of the abundant wildlife. In the evening, enjoy the stunning vistas from the lodge and a delicious South African dinner on the deck.

Day 7Kruger National Park/Karongwe Private Game Reserve(1B, 1D)

In the morning, visit a Planeterra-supported Children’s Day School and Shalati Village, located just outside Kruger National Park. Continue on to a private nature reserve in the Greater Kruger area, to enjoy open vehicle game drives while searching for Africa's famed Big Five.

Day 8Karongwe Private Game Reserve(1B, 1L, 1D)

Enjoy an early morning game drive, followed by brunch and free time at the Lodge. In the afternoon, indulge in high tea before an evening game drive. In the evenings enjoy a sundowner (drink) while the sun sets over the magnificent Drakensberg Mountains.

Day 9Karongwe Private Game Reserve/Johannesburg(1B, 1D)

After one last safari game drive, head back to the city. In the evening, enjoy an Afrikaans dinner at our local guest house.

Day 10Johannesburg/Livingstone(1B)

Fly to Livingstone, Zambia, and meet the local G representative for a guided tour of Victoria Falls.

Days 11–12Livingstone(1B)

The next two days are free and our conveniently located G desk can book the optionals of your choice including; river safari, cultural tours, whitewater rafting, canoeing or a flight over the falls.

Day 13Livingstone(1B)

Enjoy the day with many optional activities to choose from. In the evening, meet the Botswana CEO for a briefing.

Day 14Livingstone/Kasane(1B, 1L)

Cross the border into Botswana and transfer to the hotel. Opt to take a sunset photography river cruise for wildlife viewing, accompanied by an expert wildlife photographer and guide.

Day 15Kasane/Chobe National Park(1B, 1L, 1D)

In the morning, take a slow game drive along the southern bank of the Chobe River. Later, travel deeper into the Chobe wilderness to Ghoha Hills, with spectacular views of the surrounding bush. Enjoy late afternoon game viewing in open vehicles around the hills and waterholes in search of elephants, lions, hippos, and giraffes.

Day 16Chobe National Park/Moremi Game Reserve(1B, 1L, 1D)

Drive to the Khwai River area bordering Moremi Game Reserve via Savuti. With astounding wildlife, this area has been rated one of the best for game viewing in the world.

Day 17Moremi Game Reserve(1B, 1L, 1D)

Embark early on tan open vehicle game drive in Moremi and surrounding concession areas, enjoy lunch and continue with the game drive. Make it back to camp in the afternoon with time to relax at the comfortable tented camp.

Day 18Moremi Game Reserve/Maun(1B, 1D)

After a morning game drive, transfer to the frontier town of Maun. Option to shop and take a scenic flight over the delta.

Day 19Maun/Okavango Delta(1B, 1L, 1D)

Transfer to a houseboat, which is home for the next 2 nights in the Okavango Delta, the world's largest inland delta. Travelling by houseboat allows us to explore a more secluded area of the delta, taking small boats into the channels and waterways for wildlife viewing and birdwatching.

Day 20Okavango Delta(1B, 1L, 1D)

Enjoy the day on a houseboat with early morning and late afternoon wildlife excursions. Opt to enjoy a cultural excursion to Tsoldilo Hills to view ancient San Bushman rock paintings, or relax on deck with a cool drink watching the passing scenery.

Day 21Okavango Delta/Livingstone(1B, 1L)

Travel back to Zambia by ferry.

Day 22Livingstone(1B)

Depart at any time.
