Tim Jepson

Tim has been affiliated with National Geographic for more than 20 years, both as an author and a NG Expeditions Expert. He is passionate about sharing an appreciation of the art, history, geographies, and cultures of peoples in destinations worldwide. A graduate of Oxford University, he has written more than 20 books on a broad range of subjects, including eight for National Geographic, along with numerous articles for the Telegraph—where he was a travel editor—The Times of London, Vogue,Condé Nast Traveller, and many others. His travels and research have taken him to more than 80 countries, and while he has a particular passion for Italy—where he lived for many years—he is happiest in the world’s most remote corners and amongst its least compromised cultures. Tim’s most recent title for National Geographic was The British World: An Illustrated Atlas.
